Our PCB and mechanical designs are created with manufacture and assembly in mind; our planning department will devise the most cost-effective assembly procedure and produce the necessary tooling and programs.Our manufacturing facility is configured to suit a variety of customer requirements, from free issue kits to full procurement, prototypes and volume assembly.

G&B has made significant investments in production equipment, enabling us to offer a complete manufacturing service which includes certification and CE marking, labelling, packaging and dispatch to the end user.

Our dedicated purchasing and planning team has extensive experience of the business and will take care of procurement and packing, leaving you free to concentrate on your profitable core business, confident that the finished goods will be delivered on time and to the highest standard.

Prototype Assembly

Hand-placed techniques for SMT components are suitable for low-volume, fast-turnaround prototypes.

Prototype BGA Assembly, Inspection and Rework

BGA assembly of prototypes can be carried out accurately using our Ersa scope optical alignment system.

Volume Production

For volume production of PCBs, G&B's SMT workshop has six pick-and-place lines, supported by AOI, suitable for medium to high volumes:

• Panasonic line:
  Ideal for high-volume work, this machine runs continuously at speeds up to 27,000cph. After the PCB is loaded, the conveyer takes it through the automatic stencil paste printer, then through the various stations of the placement machine and finally through the 5-zone oven. Specified for fine pitch and BGA assembly, this line is extremely capable.
• Quad PS2 lines:
  The unique four-head placement design of the Quad PS2 makes 5,000cph a reality. The Quad PS2 is an efficient, cost-effective solution for low-, medium- and high-volume markets.
• Europlacer line:
  The huge feeder capacity of the Europlacer Progress 6 makes this line ideal for medium batch requirements. With a placement rate of around 3,500cph, this is a cost-effective solution for PCBs with a large range of items from 0402. The unique trolley feature of the Europlacer enables off-line loading, ensuring that downtime is minimised.

Production Control

Stock control and production-planning can be offered for ongoing contracts. Customers may also like to take advantage of our MRP database system; this controls sales orders, stock, serial number traceability, capacity-planning, bills of materials and engineering change control. For customers with limited storage space, we offer a stock-control and stores-management service. This includes the capability to dispatch worldwide, using the customer's own paperwork and providing regular reports on shipments and stock remaining.
