Design & Manufacture

Following approval of the electronic product design and budget, we will build a working prototype for evaluation or further development proposals. An electronic prototype is an efficient and cost-effective way of highlighting potential problems - early in the development cycle.

Electronics Prototype Methods

We use a variety of prototype design and production methods:

• hand-placed techniques for SMT and conventional components, suitable for low-volume, fast-turnaround prototypes
• BGA assembly, inspection and rework, using our Ersa scope optical alignment system

If required, the final electronics prototype and its product technical file can then be submitted for CE certification, before manufacture.

Once the product has been approved and is ready for production, G&B will work closely with you to develop production schedules. We can offer very competitive prices for producing anything from small batches of 10 up to 5,000 each month.

Management of returns, product traceability, recalls and ECO control of product or design upgrades can be handled by G&B, if required.
